Iype Eldho

Iype Eldho graduated with a Master’s in Electrical and Computer Engineering from North Carolina State University, in Raleigh, NC. He joined NCICS as a Climate Data Analyst (Research Associate) in January 2025. He specializes in data analysis of the standard precipitation index and the Standardized Precipitation-Evapotranspiration Index for CONUS and various global locations using machine learning models to predict and cluster drought events. Currently, he is working on a deep learning climate downscaling model to enhance spatial resolution.

Iype holds a bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering from Birla Institute of Technology and Science Pilani, India. During his studies there, he worked at the Samsung Research Institute on machine learning for 6G Network simulators.
