Helen Shaffer

Helen Shaffer joined NCICS in April 2026. With five years of Human Resources experience, Helen is working on a small team at NCICS. Her primary contributions involve administering and managing institute HR activities, position management activities, talent acquisition, maintaining records, providing administration for the institute, and functioning as the primary HR point of contact for the institute staff, external collaborators, federal partners, providing guidance, and HR related information.

Ms. Shaffer is a graduate of Clemson University with a bachelor or arts in Business Management with an Human Resources emphasis. Prior to NCICS, she worked at Grand Bohemian Lodge Asheville where she managed their talent acquisition, onboarding, and employee relations.
