Biography
Pooja joined NCICS in 2023 as a Climate Data Analyst and has since focused on developing visualization tools that make NOAA’s Climate Data Records (CDRs) more accessible and useful for scientists, policymakers, and the public. She is currently leading work on a cloud-based Climate Data Records Dashboard, which integrates multiple long-term CDRs and provides interactive visualizations to support climate monitoring, research, and decision-making.
She holds a Master’s degree in Data Science from Texas A&M University, where she specialized in large-scale data analysis and machine learning, applying these skills to climate and environmental research. Before joining NCICS, she worked in consulting, developing data-driven tools and predictive models for clients in healthcare, insurance, and housing finance. Outside of work, she enjoys painting, traveling, and listening to music.
