Climate Change and Resilience in Western North Carolina:
Lessons from the Fifth National Climate Assessment

We invite you to join us for a Town Hall discussion exploring the challenges posed by climate change, climate resilience in Western North Carolina, and how the Fifth National Climate Assessment (NCA5) can inform decisions and actions. Participants include NCA5 Director Allison Crimmins and Deke Arndt, Director of NOAA’s National Centers for Environmental Information.

The event will take place on February 8, 2024, at UNC Asheville’s Reuter Center. A live stream option will also be available. The event is hosted by the North Carolina Arboretum, the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute, and the North Carolina Institute for Climate Studies.

Attendance is free, but advance registration is required. Please use the form linked below to register. The form is provided by North Carolina Arboretum, and allows you to choose either in-person or live stream attendance. You can also sign up for two upcoming “Arboretum Reads” events looking at two books on climate change.
